Menuhin Live Music Now Czech Republic
The Company Menuhin Live Music Now Czech Republic has been developing the tradition established by the famous violin player and conductor, Sir Yehudi Menuhin in 1976 in England.
The Czech branch of Live Music was established based on the initiative jointly developed by the outstanding pianist Radoslav Kvapil, and excellent organizer Josef Matoušek. The Company Menuhin Live Music Now was established at a solemn occasion in autumn 1992 in the Residence of the British Ambassador in Prague upon personal participation of Sir Yehudi Menuhin.
The main project of Menuhin Live Music Now Czech Republic is organization of humanitarian festivals – HUMANA. The aim of the project is to bring music to places, where live music cannot be heard very often, and this way enable music experiences to people staying in hospitals, social care institutions, old people’s homes, etc.
Another purpose of the project is to help young artists at the beginning of their concert careers.
For the period of 15 years the Company Menuhin Live Music Now Czech Republic has organized, in conjunction with the FCT Agency, more than 600 concerts with the contribution of significant sponsors.
The HUMANA Project is dependent on the support of those who are not indifferent to our elderly lonely fellow-citizens, and who show interest in this humanitarian event.
We will welcome your involvement in this project as its partners.
The value and greatness of this idea has been appreciated also by the British Prince Charles, who has become a patron of the Live Music Now Organization in Great Britain.
